9/4/2023 0 Comments Freefall badge usmcAfter about 4 combat jumps you'll have it unlocked, i.e. I don't know if you mean it litteraly, but when you say 'it's what makes the badge worth working for.' the issue is you don't have to work for it. I understand that it is strong, being able to survive at 90kmp/h with a last second chute pull, but it's almost a requirement for paratroopers to bring this. I do understand where you are coming from, but as stated at the start, you are just bullet bait. What i do find very annoying is that i`m allowed to jump with a shovel on my back (and land safely /s ) but i`m not allowed to take a wrench instead of shovel - Why ? This, imo, is what makes the badge worth working for.Īlso been on the recieving end of this and, well, i`m ok with ,as it is. , yes, you are bullet bait with auto deploy ,but, the mechanics of this Freefall badge is something not in need of a rework -imo, numerous times i`ve, last second shute deployed, landed next to 3-5 oppersition players and whiped em out, i swear that i could acctually see the look of total surprise on their cartoon faces. I feel as though you should be able to use other badges, as free fall is almost essential nearly all the time, which basically leaves paratroopers without a badge slot. Taking what you said as example, taking nimble. Well it's not so much heavy set is essential, I feel as though that slot could go to something much more than just choosing when you can pull your parachute. Tho i still maintain that HS isnt an essential, there are ways to mostly avoid snipers, HS doesnt help much in cqc vs automatics (about 0.1 seconds extra life) and medkits are a thing if you do survive, hearing enemy, spotting them, shooting first will all serve you better in cqc. Think of freefall badge as a game balancer, a few good paras can virtually win a game in minutes against a badly organised team of noobs, less in the way of combat badges limits paras some - game balance/fun has to work for all, even noobs ) Heh, ive only got para on US, there has always been this amount of 0HK snipers as far as im concerned :D โพสต์ดั้งเดิมโดย Comgal: pretty big annoyance based on the increase on OHK snipers. I am taking my origional statment from the view of American and USSR paratroopers, as there are a lot of DE infantry snipers in staged.Īnd regarding the last part, although that makes sense, Reto have previously stated that they want to find a balance between fun and realism, I feel as though being a sitting duck for enemy snipers isn't fun, hence it should be changed. I use the free fall badge on germany due to the lack of enemy OHK snipers maning I have never actually used heavy set on him. I have a decent ammount of experience of paratrooper I believe I have a level 12 paratrooper for germany. ![]() If I was to sacrafice the freefall badge in order to counter infantry snipers, I would only end up making it out of the plane, and not even reach the ground. ![]() Once landed it makes it really hard to rotate between points when using the freefall badge. Well to give you a background behind my reasoning is that I recently bought a US paratrooper, and a lot of the enemy germans that are infantry use OHK rifles. Should point out tho that ALL para jumps in WW2 were static line jumps, no one actually had any choice on when to pull (didnt need to as only sent paras in when had air superiority, hence GE paras were infantry from about 42 onwards), so thats already a bonus. Yeah, i know that, but most of his problems with snipers and needing a badge slot for heavy set is just laziness, my para doesnt have HS, and snipers are rarely a problem, being a para means most of the sniper problems (dying on the way to a point) are irrelevent.Įven with vet i prefer freefall and nimble gold, a silent para just 'appearing' on point. โพสต์ดั้งเดิมโดย Catweazle:i think what OP is trying to say, is, that the choice to Freefall should not be dependant on a Badge.
